Filament ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Filament iOS app and website at filament3d.store.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information: Your display name, provided during onboarding.
• Profile data: Printer model, filament colors, and interests you select.
• Photos: Images you upload when posting builds to the community feed.
• Camera images: Photos taken within the app for Point & Fix analysis. These are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for object identification and are not stored by us.
• Email address: If you sign up for our launch waitlist on the website.

We collect information automatically:

• CloudKit data: App usage is stored in Apple's CloudKit. We do not have direct access to your iCloud credentials.
• Usage data: Basic analytics on feature usage to improve the app. This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the Filament app experience
• To generate personalized weekly print ideas based on your interests
• To power Point & Fix object identification via the Claude AI API
• To display your builds in the community feed (only content you choose to share)
• To send you launch and product updates if you joined the waitlist (you can unsubscribe at any time)

3. Third-Party Services

Filament uses the following third-party services:

• Apple CloudKit: Stores your profile and community content. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API: Processes camera images for Point & Fix and generates weekly ideas. Images sent to Claude are not stored after processing. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Printables / MakerWorld / Thingiverse APIs: Used to search public model libraries. We send only your search query — no personal information.
• Tripo AI (beta): Processes images for 3D model generation when the AI generation feature is used. Subject to Tripo's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We share data only as described above with the third-party services required to operate Filament.

Community builds you post are public and visible to all Filament users.

5. Camera and Photos

Filament requests access to your camera and photo library solely to enable Point & Fix scanning and community build posting. Camera images used for Point & Fix are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis and are not stored on our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Filament is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at hello@filament3d.store.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@filament3d.store. Because data is stored in Apple CloudKit, you can also delete your CloudKit data directly from your iCloud account settings.

8. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. We do not store payment information. To cancel a subscription, visit your Apple ID subscription settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email if you are on our waitlist. Continued use of Filament after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
