Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Filament iOS application and website at filament3d.store, operated by Filament ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using Filament, you agree to these terms.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Filament for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is subject to these Terms and Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated here by reference.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

Filament offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Filament Yearly") at $49.99 per year or $5.99 per month.

• Subscriptions are managed and billed through Apple's App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in your Apple ID account settings.
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

3. User Content

You may post photos and build descriptions to the Filament community feed ("User Content"). By posting, you:

• Confirm you own or have rights to the content you share.
• Grant Filament a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the app.
• Agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringes third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

4. 3D Model Content

Filament surfaces 3D models from third-party platforms including Printables, MakerWorld, and Thingiverse. These models are subject to their respective creators' licenses. Filament does not host model files and is not responsible for their content or licensing terms. Always verify a model's license before commercial use.

5. AI Features

Point & Fix and AI search are powered by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, Tripo AI). These features are provided as-is. AI-generated 3D models may not be print-ready and may require modification. Filament makes no guarantees about AI output accuracy or printability.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use Filament for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Post content that violates intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent subscription features
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the app or APIs

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Filament is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or print-ready.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Filament shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including wasted filament, failed prints, or reliance on AI-generated models.

9. Apple's Role

Filament is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Filament. In the event of any product liability claim, Apple is not responsible. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to the EULA.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Filament after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
